Feeding Your Cat

Everything You Need to Know About Feeding Your Cat

Feeding your cat nutritional quality food is vital for your cat’s well being and longevity - just like humans.

If you feed your cat nutritional quality food, you will extend your cats life, protect them from cancer and other 20th century diseases, keep their skin, coat and fur healthy, and support healthy organ function. The majority of pet food from the supermarket will not be very nutritious, or scientifically tested (even if if the marketing implies so). Salt and sugar are common in most supermarket pet foods. These are 2 ingredients you want to avoid.  Buying a large bag of high-quality food from your vet, pet store or online, may seem expensive. If you feed the right amount necessary, it will end up being the same price or less, than buying smaller bags of less nutritional food from the supermarket. It may seem like you are saving a few dollars, but the cost is to your cat's health and quality of life.

Please Don't Feed Your Cat Human Food Scraps!

It is strongly advised not feeding your cat human food, unless you are 100% sure it is harmless. Garlic and onion are both toxic and could kill your cat – this is a common ingredient in human meals like lasagna, stir fry's, spaghetti bolognese (commonly given to cats and dogs).

Why?

A cats liver is not built to process foods that humans often feed them. Anything toxic will make them sick, and when too much is consumed, they can die.
