About Kim Gruebner
Animal Ambassador and Advocate
Hi, I'm Kim!
After working in the music industry for 15 years as a professional violinist, I studied vet nursing full time. The goal, rather than to become a vet nurse, was to gain knowledge about pet care.
Through my studies, I noticed just how little owners knew about their pet’s behaviours and requirements.
I saw a community need for more access to information about pet care and animal welfare, so I started Dear Humans as a growing resource for pet owners around New Zealand.
For the last 8 years, I have also been a dog walker in Auckland offering small sized pack walks for dogs, who love the fun and social, daily adventures.
Also for eight years, I have been the the Auckland Placement Officer for Canine Friends Pet Therapy. I place human members and their dogs, to regularly visit their local rest home, retirement village, hospital or special facility. See the latest news article about Canine Friends here.
And in 2022 created Senior Dog Club to find loving homes for dogs who can no longer live with their owners.
At home, I am a dedicated human for my own 2 Sphynx, as well as K9 clients who need dog sitting while their owners are away.
My goal is to help New Zealand become a world leader in pet care, and I hope you will join me in making that a reality!
